Ok, you have found the "Love of your Life", WHAT NOW?!!
Whether you have found the "love of your life" on our web site or discovered her in another way, we can help you "BOTH" get through the immigration maze.
In order for you to bring your "loved one" to the United States, you have three options available to you. Two of the options present themselves if you are already married, at the time you apply for a visa.
The first option is to apply for your "loved one" as an Immediate Relative or CR-1 visa. Obtaining this visa will result in your "loved one" arriving in the States as an Immigrant. They will receive their "Green Card" immediately with no need to Adjust their Status later.
The second option is to apply for your "loved one" using the K-3 process. This visa will result in your "loved one" arriving in the States as a Nonimmigrant. With this visa they WILL have to Adjust their Status to Immigrant Status within 2 years of their arrival in the States. (No "Green Card" for MANY months.)
If you are NOT married before you petition for your "loved one", the third option is to petition them as your fiancee. This visa is called a K-1 Visa. They will arrive in the States as a Nonimmigrant and Adjustment of Status WILL be required after their arrival.
The "time line" for each type changes frequently. As of July, 2008 the time lines are: CR-1 visa will result in your "loved one" arriving in the United States in 12 to 14 months, while the K-3 Spousal visa is CURRENTLY taking about 8 to 9 months. Time line for a K-1 is CURRENTLY running 5 to 7 months. Actually, the time lines change so much lately that trying to figure them out is useless. The "best" choice is the one that is "best" for your particular situation.
The decision to opt for one method over the other may not be entirely yours to make. Your fiancees family will no doubt have some input, and you will have to take into consideration their feelings. Most of these ladies want to be married in the Philippines in front of their family and friends. Although most decide to wait on the wedding until after their arrival in the States, when the processing time that can be saved is explained.
Whether you chose the CR-1, K-3 or K1 visa route be aware that immigration requirements are complex and constantly changing. If you hire an attorney to do the paperwork it could cost you between $2,500.00 and $3,000.00 just for the initial visa application.
For either a K-1, CR-1 or K-3 visa, our immigration specialist will prepare the initial petition package within 7 days from the date you provide us with the required information.
We will work with you AND your "loved one" through the process! My Filipina wife, Nora, will contact your "loved one" via telephone to explain the entire process to them, if you wish. They will not be alone to sift through the maze by themselves. We will be as close as the phone or email to you and your "loved one".
If your "loved one" arrives in the USA using a K-1 or K-3 visa you will need to file for their Adjustment of Status after their arrival. For the Adjustment of Status (AOS) and Employment Authorization Document (EAD) package, our immigration specialist can prepare the package, for you as well.
In all cases, if you decide on our help in completing and submitting your immigration package, we will do the following:
1. Send you our easy to fill out questionnaire to obtain information for the application forms.
2. Upon your request, contact your "loved one" and explain everything to them, advising them of what is needed and how to get the job done. They will not be alone!
3. Send you a list of the "supporting" documents needed for your package.
4. Upon receipt of your personal information and requested "supporting documents", we will prepare the entire package in final form and return it to you for your approval and signatures.
5. We do NOT charge extra for our office expenses: postage, phone calls, copying, faxing, etc.
We are NOT considered an International Marriage Broker, as defined in the IMBRA law, as we do NOT charge anyone anything to place their profile on our site or for any contact information!! This is one less worry for you.
